Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this bulletin board. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this bulletin board.

Torontopaintball.com Rules

1. No advertising.
Only Sponsors are allowed to advertise, and even then, is only allowed in certain areas.

2. Avatars:
Must be appropriate. No racial, pornographic, or contraversial images allowed or any containing inappropriate language.

3. Signature sizes.
Signatures can be no more than 7 lines long in 12 point font. Blank Lines are included, as in, they count as part of the 7. If you wish to use an image it can be no larger than 400 pixels wide by 90 pixels in height. You may also have 2 lines of 12point text above or below your signature image. If you dont want text your sig can be 128x500. If your signature does not follow this criteria, it will be deleted and replaced with a link to the forum rules. Shame on you.

4. Signature content.
Signatures can contains links, text, or images. Colours are allowed but font size must be 12point or less (still only 7 lines). No advertising or banners are allowed in signatures. If you wish to include your team sponsors in your signature you may do so only by links.

Although we will allow flash signature, no sound will be allowed. The total size of the flash file can be no more than 75KB.

5. Behavior.
Indecent behaviour will NOT be tolerated. The forum staff have no problems removing user priviledges on the forums. The forums are here to allow members as well as potential members to communicate. In short, respect others members of the forum, we all have a common interest, so lets be civil.

If you have a problem with a member, or a particular member (or group of members) is giving you a hard time please bring it to the staff's attention with proof to back up your argument.

6. Language.
People of all ages and walks of life read torontopaintball.com forums, please be considerate when posting your responses. If a members feels a post is inappropriate, they have the power to bring it to a staff members attention by using the "Report Post..." button found on every post. A torontopaintball.com staff member may close or remove a post or topic by their discretion.

7. Post Content.
No bashing torontopaintball.com Sponsors will be allowed. If a staff member feels a user has violated this rule they may close the topic or remove the post (or topic).
Posting on the forums must be meaningful. Do not post nonsense, gibberish, or one word posts. Doing so will result in punishment... anything from resetting the user post count to banishment from the forums.
ABSOLUTELY NO BEST FIELD DISCUSSION threads. This should not have to be in the rules, this is a generally accepted (and respected) unspoken rule.

Post any topics asking which marker is better, or is a specific marker is good in the newbie section. If you fail to do so your post will be deleted

Post your topics in the appropriate forums. Any topics that are irrelevant to the forum they are posted in will either be closed, or deleted with no explanation. You've been warned.


8. Private Messaging System.
The private messaging system is there for users to get a hold of one another. Do not post topics asking for people to PM you. Once the initial PM's have been sent it would be much appreciate if you continued your coresspondence through e-mail or Instant Messaging.

The forums (including PM system) is not an Instant Messaging application, so do not treat it as such. If you want to chat with your friends please use the IM client of your choice (MSN, ICQ, AIM, etc).


9. Topic "Bumping" or "Upping"; Once per 24 hours
This mostly refers to the Classified section. For those of you who feel the need to keep bringing your post up to the top, please only do so once per 24 hours. If you decide to up your topic more than once per 24 hours then the thread will be closed and will sink to the pits of the forum marked for deletion. If you keep persisting despite warnings your posting priviledges will be removed. No questions asked. Also, i will soon be setting up a script to automatically delete posts that have not seen action in two months. Do not take this as posting a new thread every week. If you post more than one thread with the same items then they will ALL be deleted.




Any member caught breaking the rules with be dealt with accordingly (and severely). The forums are a priviledge, not a right. The staff feels no remorse when punishing users, so please don't email us begging for forgiveness. We will not waste any more time on people who abuse the system. The mods and admins reserve the right to close or delete any topics at their discretion.
